[ as rose is reading that, a portal opens in her wall, expanding her own bedroom into kanaya's. kanaya doesn't move from her spot on the bed, remaining there huddled under a blanket with the windows shut and the lights off, providing her own illumination.

she sits there in a long-sleeved black shirt that leaves her shoulders bare, and a pair of tan capris. she is actually, for once, wearing pants! giving rose an expectant look from across the portal, she waits for her to cross over onto her side, holding the threads in place until she does. ]
