it is also just as true that im not most people
though i suppose its a bit ridiculous to expect an entire world to evolve in a manner that specifically caters to me

we didnt
but when youre 14 the fact that youre an alien is immaterial to the people who think you should be schoolfed
and when youre new to the planet anyway you begin to think that maybe there could be some merit to learning more about it
so i endured two years before i grew tired of it
by then i had to provide the primary income for my compatriots so there were far more pressing areas for my time to be focused
