honestly it might be easier just to leave him there
and occasionally hear him complain about whatever

there was some form of contention between them way back when theyre from
theyd fight every now and then until the time eridan blinded him
of course directly after that is when he started killing people so

but i dont think i found it any less stupid when i witnessed it firsthand four years ago
not that maturity necessarily correlates with age
just that boys are really stupid

no but you must encounter it at a considerable rate if thats the first thing that comes to mind
unless we are defining it loosely
i suppose one might say an argument has competitive facets to it

By it's nature, an argument must. Or else you would not win, or lose, an argument.

unless you arent terribly invested in the argument
then the winning becomes moot
but conducting such a detached argument isnt always easy
though it becomes easier with unheeded repetition
at some point you just want to say your piece and let it go where it will

Some arguments aren't so much competitions as losing battles when both sides refuse to listen... or you find yourself talking to an empty barrel.
