[OOC]
Backtagging: Absolutely! If you're still tagging a thread, I'll always be down for continuing it to its end. My own pace can fluctuate a bit, though I usually try to get tags out sooner than later, but if you're feeling a little slow I'm cool with keeping up with the pace.
Threadjacking: Yes! By all means.
Fourthwalling: Please discuss first, though it's unlikely that most characters will really be familiar with her canon.
Offensive subjects: If it should occur in the natural circumstances of the thread, go for it. If any of my tags veer into uncomfortable territory for you, please let me know and I'll take what measures I need to.
[IC]
Hugging this character: You can try. She's a little standoffish, and might not always react pleasantly if it's unwelcome or from a stranger. So, pretty much like a normal person.
Kissing this character: Probably be more careful about it. If she isn't open to it, and in most circumstances from most people she probably won't be, she might react pretty angrily.
Flirting with this character: Go for it! She can deal in pretty good humor with some harmless flirting, though it will usually stick to just that. If she feels the need to set her boundaries, she will.
Fighting with this character: I'm way down for some fights, whether friendly or serious. But she'll approach either very differently, taking spars more casually while playing to win by any means in the latter. She can be a bit of a brawler, but she talks a lot of shit, so if your character ever has a bone to pick with her that they want to take up physically, let me know and we can plot something out.
Injuring this character: Kanaya has regenerative abilities in Mask or Menace, in addition to her canon resilience. So, she can take a lot of punishment, and recover from it with time and blood. Minor scrapes I'm cool with, but please discuss for anything more serious.
Killing this character: Again, due to her canon resilience, she won't die from most fatal injuries, but beheading or vaporization will do it. I'd really prefer to keep this to major plotting, so please discuss if you have an idea that might involve it.
Using telepathy/mind reading abilities on this character: Kanaya has absolutely no telepathic defenses, her mind's an open book. Just let me know if your character will be reading her, we'll work out what they'll find!
Warnings:
SPACEWEAVING
Kanaya can magically perceive the threads of space, recognize what they connect to, and manipulate them to create dimensional bridges between the things connected to them. This essentially means she can open portals in Space.
Each person has a thread leading to them, each place, each noun. There will be one for your character, too. Usually, if Kanaya's interacted with a thread before, she can recognize it from memory if she encounters it again.
i'm pretty okay with whether they have an ic protection against her magic or just an ooc inclination that this should be generally avoided, whichever one you have

Warnings:
Kanaya comes from a violent, darwinistic culture. That coupled with some hard years and circumstances has made her a little callous and jaded, very defensive of herself and tight-lipped about her secrets. Basically, much as she tries to present herself as very together, she can sometimes be a huge jerk. Her world had a militaristic dictatorship, and while there are parts she didn't really care for, she wasn't raring to fight it, either, so she may display some authoritarian leanings occasionally. She wants to bring back the monarchy. She believes strongly in capital punishment and the problem-solving potential of violence.
She also has some very unhealthy attitudes about herself, that can sometimes be expressed through depression, codependency, and self-hatred in various forms, including self-harm and suicide. She also deals heavily with loss of loved ones, especially friends, parents, or children. Motherhood especially is a recurring theme in her character, and in it events that run closely parallel to miscarriage and barrenness. She's not likely to be vocal about any of these unless your character is very close to her, but they will often inform her thought processes.
She's also an alien vampire, so her diet consists mainly of blood. She's pretty open about both of these facts! But she doesn't like to necessarily go into detail explaining either on command, except to explain how and why she's generally safe to be around. People get so weird about vampires.
If any thread you are in with Kanaya does make you uncomfortable, please let me know I'll do what I need to correct the problem.

RECOGNIZE Y/N: god yeah
TELEPORT Y/N: yeah
ANYTHING ELSE: if she's In The Bubble Shield, then the "root"/"end" of the thread would disappear and the above answers would go Negative and kanaya would not be able to find, sense, or Get To ruka herself. because. magic star god garbage.
